Interesting interview with John Hanke reveals unype is the 30,001st mashup for Google Earth.

Here are some interesting Google Earth usage numbers for one website. GE works on Linux through wine, while Skype seems to be native to Linux. Skype supports its API on Linux. GE’s COM API should theoretically work on wine, so the Linux port should not be a such a long shot in theory.
